The new museum will feature two large classroom spaces outfitted to provide hands-on learning experiences for a variety of history and science subjects. But classrooms are just the beginning--the whole of the museum, inside and out, will provide endless opportunities for learning.

The classroom spaces will be equipped for a variety of activities, including local and regional history, biology, chemistry, physics, and astronomy and space science.
The proximity to the river and other natural habitats on the museum grounds will give students an outstanding living laboratory to observe and learn about, too.
In addition, the classroom spaces will open up onto a large deck for indoor-outdoor learning. A separate entrance to the classroom area will make it easy and convenient for large school groups to move in and out of the new museum.
